BOSTON, MA – Grab your fedoras and holster your .45s, citizens—because the Silver Shroud is back! After nearly a decade of silence, America’s favorite masked vigilante has returned to the airwaves with a brand-new radio serial that promises to thrill, chill, and bring justice to evildoers once more. The relaunch of the iconic series, titled “The Silver Shroud Strikes Again!”, premiered last night on Galaxy News Radio to record-breaking listener numbers across the eastern seaboard. Fans young and old tuned in for the long-awaited return of the mysterious protector of the innocent and scourge of the criminal underworld. “He’s the hero we need again,” said radio listener and longtime Shroud fan Dale Bruckman, 47, of Quincy. “With all the unrest, resource shortages, and talk of war... hearing the Shroud lay down the law brings me comfort. Makes me feel like things might still turn out okay.”

Originally aired in the 2040s, The Silver Shroud was a mainstay of Hubris Comics' transmedia empire, spanning radio, comics, and even a short-lived television pilot. Now, thanks to a joint initiative between Hubris Studios and Galaxy News Radio, the Shroud’s adventures have been completely re-recorded and reimagined for a new generation. “This isn’t just nostalgia,” said Lana Moresby, creative director at Hubris. “This is revival. The Shroud is back with sharper writing, a deeper mystery, and yes—plenty of that smoky noir charm fans adore.” Taking up the cloak in this new iteration is voice actor Shane Bradbury, a rising star known for his recent turn as the narrator of Detective Bronson: Atomic Noir. Bradbury delivers the Shroud’s classic catchphrases with gusto, including the unforgettable:

“Evil hides in the shadows... but the Shroud lives in them!”

The updated show also introduces a new cast of rogues and allies, including a tech-savvy sidekick named Circuit Girl, and a revamped version of The Mechanist, now portrayed as a rogue A.I. with a vendetta against organic injustice.

Thanks to Vault-Tec’s recent expansion of the civilian radio grid, The Silver Shroud Strikes Again! is being broadcast in over 34 vault zones and major metropolitan hubs. “Even if the world goes to hell, the Shroud will still be there,” joked Galaxy News Radio host Travis Miles, who teased a possible holo-serial adaptation if audience demand continues to surge.

Early reviews have been glowing. The Boston Beat called it “a masterclass in pulp storytelling,” while The Red Rocket Record praised the series for “delivering thrilling escapism in a time when Americans need it most.” Fan clubs from coast to coast are already hosting listening parties, complete with Shroud cosplay contests and period-appropriate refreshments like Blamco mac bites and Nuka Grape floats. Whether you’re tuning in from a high-rise penthouse in downtown Boston or deep beneath the earth in your local Vault-Tec shelter, one thing is clear: the Silver Shroud is back, and the fight for justice is far from over.

Stay vigilant, evildoers—because the Shroud never sleeps.
